Baltimore Salsa Blog

The Baltimore Salsa Meetup has grown astronomically over the past 12 months.  I remember the days when we set a goal to have one meetup per week.  Now there's so much going on, we can't just choose one.  Hold on tight because this weekend is a series of non-stop Salsa parties.  How many hours can you dance before collapsing? How many times can you spin before getting dizzy? The game plan is: Thursday - Mustang Alleys, Friday - BSDC studio, Saturday - The Latin Quarter in Annapolis, and Sunday - Dickeyville Studio.

• Thursday, August 26: BSM at Mustang Alleys at 7:30pm
• Friday, August 27: NEW 4th Fridays at BSDC's new studio in Federal Hill, 1541 Light Street. Tabitha says, "DJ Cruz will be spinning the hottest salsa & latin music!!! We will also have a little Karaoke going on!!! Dance all night if you like, the party can go past 2am...we don't have to be out by a certain time! Party will go on as long as we have you on the dance floor!!! BYOD, Bring a dish and we can make it a potluck! Free spring water on site! Free parking on the street or free parking available at the middle school on the next block up from the studio compliments of our sponsors, The Reserve...."
• Saturday, August 28: BSM Rooftop Party at the Latin Quarter 169 West Street, Annapolis. Mike says, "Start your adventure with a Beginner salsa lesson at 8:30pm with Mike and Niss from SalsaNow. Afterward, it's music and dancing untill close. We'll have plenty of space as the entire upstairs is reserved for our party. Cover is $10 all night."
• Saturday, August 28: NY Roadtrip to La Vieja Guardia 2 year anniversary.
• Sunday, August 29: BSM Salsa Summer Party at Dickeyville Studio with DJ Vince.
• Tuesday, August 31: BSM at Red Maple

Returning March 25-26, 2011 with Manuel Dos Santos from Canada (a gift to you Edwin), Jesse Yip with Signatura from New Jersey (he won the best instructor vote from our event last year), and DJ Dany J from New Jersey (very experienced Congress DJ).
