Cancun Cantina has 7 bars, a restaurant, pool tables, sand and palm trees, state-of-the-art lighting and sound systems, two stages, and large dance floors all under one roof! Some of the best country, rock, and top 40 bands in the region perform there every weekend. On the Deck, it’s fun, sand, and pumpin’ jams. Deejays spin the hottest dance mixes all through the night. Next door at the Main Bar it’s kickin‘ country music, hardwood floors, and plenty of dancing all night long! The venue caters to Country Music and Dancing Monday through Saturday. On Sunday, the evening is completed dedicated to Latin Music.

Free Salsa lessons at 8:30 PM Beginner/Intermediate. Cover charge varies depending if there is a live band.  Otherwise, ladies pay $6 for a bottomless cup.  DJ plays a variety of music to include Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Cumbia and Reggaeton with a splash of Cha-cha and Punta.  Similar atmosphere to Latin Palace and La Palapa, except the floor is HUGE.  Lots of free parking onsite.

DJ Heavy as been spinning the best latin music in the MD/VA/DC metropolitan area clubs since 1992 with a focus on Salsa beginning in 2004. His music has graced many venues including: The Salsa Room (TSR), Cancun Cantina, Latin Palace, DC Live, The Cage, Diversity, Julito’s, Galaxy, The Buqueron, The Cavern, Chelsea’s, and many more. His music has entertained the crowd alongside famous artists like Tito Roajs, Raulin Rosendo, Antonio Cartajena, Grupo Niche, Oscar De Leon, La India, DLG, and Amarfis. Even more exciting are the opportunities he’s had to DJ between sets of live bands including: Atake, Rbuby Perez, Kinito Dez, Hermanos Rosarios, Joe Veras, Raulin Rodriguez, Luis Vargas, Luis Miguel of the Amargue, Frank Rreyes, Doro Reyes, Aventura,Yoskar Sarante, Zacarias Ferieria, Robert Vargas and his group Kila, Band Gorda, The Makina,Band Chula, Raul Acosta, Big Boy and many more.

Above all, DJ Heavy is passionate about the music he plays and loves seeing the people have a blast dancing to his playlist! In his spare time, he enjoys producing music plus editing beats and Remix titles for his own personal use.

Look for him at The Salsa Room (TSR) in Arlington, Virginia on Saturday nights and Cancun Cantina in Hanover, MD on Sunday nights. DJ Heavy is available for private parties.
