Baltimore Salsa Blog
What is the Baltimore Salsa Blog? This website is a resource tool created by Sue Elliott for the latin dance community. We list where to dance (Salsa, Bachata, Cha-Cha, Cumbia, Merengue), when to dance, who is teaching, what classes are being offered, and what big events are coming up. Missing information is rare and just means the promoter didn't send it to us in time for the posting.
Want to chat with me now? Look at the top left of this website and you will find a live chat box. If you see a green circle, I am available. Send me a message. Ask me a question. Don't be shy.
The blog lady needs your financial support for time and money invested in this blog. A decision to cancel or continue will be made on May 31, 2012 and every 3 months after that. Without your financial support, the blog will disappear. If this blog is valuable to you, send word to the masses and collect donations before it's too late. A few readers believe the instructors and promoters should pay to have their event listed. If that was the case, this website would be just like all the other sites, limited and biased, ad driven, not content driven. Take a look around. There are about 100 pages on this site that I maintain. Many of you might assume I spend an hour a week writing a newsletter. For a fair perspective, ask Susan Leiter (AliveWithDance), Alex Albaig (SalsaNow), and Tabitha Hitchye (Baltimore Salsa Dance Company) what time investment is required to maintain a website and create fresh content.
Of all the websites in Baltimore listing Salsa events, the Baltimore Salsa Blog is the only one that is all inclusive without regard to my own personal opinion about a venue or an instructor. If I miss a special event, it's because I didn't receive the memo. I do not teach. I do not host weekly parties. We all have 7 days in a week. I take 1 night a week away from my daughter (as a single mom) and give it to you. Donations are the only thing that can save this blog. I will re-evaluate the situation in 60 days to determine whether to keep or kill the blog. Donate now.
