Mike Fok

Mike Fok began his dance life in the salsa world learning from the area's top instructors. He quickly advanced as a social dancer, and his salsa passion expanded to Rueda de Casino. Mike co-founded SalsaNow, where he taught weekly salsa and rueda classes, semester sessions at Johns Hopkins and Gaucher College. He also directed the SalsaNow Student Rueda Team.
Following successes with SalsaNow, Mike co-founded SALSAROUND, with the expressed purpose of supporting Rueda in Baltimore.
In 2010, Mike choreographed a routine and trained dancers for the Baltimore Salsa Flash Mob, an event that mobilized salseros and instilled unity in our community. Mike is also the organizer of area's largest meetup group, the Baltimore Salsa Meetup.
Mike has danced with several teams including Dancing with Grace, Dance in Time, SalsaNow and Columbia Dance Project. He has performed at salsa congresses, community and private events.
Beyond salsa, Mike also enjoys Bachata, Merengue, Cha-Cha-Cha, Hand Dance, West Coast Swing and Hustle. From 2006-2010, Mike was a Hand Dance instructor for Love To Dance Productions.
Outside of his dance interests, Mike is a twenty-plus year employee with Merck & Co. where he works in Respiratory Care.
Proud of his California roots, Mike is an alumnus of UCLA with a degree in Biology. He also completed the executive program in Healthcare Marketing at Dartmouth College. Mike is a loving father of two and engaged to Georganne Cammarata of SALSAROUND. He also enjoys playing piano, cooking, travel and gourmet dining.
